Laines Magnifiques is proud to offer you premium quality hand painted yarns.  At Laines Magnifiques we offer a variety of 100% wool, all natural yarns.  All of our yarns are hand painted or hand dyed using professional acid dyes.

Champion Blue Faced Leicester:  Our signature yarn, this BFL is soft yet durable and useful for many different projects. It has wonderful stitch definition.  Although this is light cream based yarn, it still takes dye vibrantly and beautifully.  We offer 3 different weights in this yarn.  Our Aran weight yarn is approximately 200 yards per 4.4 ounce skein, Bulky is 130 yards per 4+ ounce skein, and our Superwash Sock yarn is approximately 420 yards / 3.5 ounce skein.

 Royal Merino:  This is lowland merino where the ewes wool is sheared in a very humane manner.  This yarn is a 4 ply yarn.  It is neatly plied and a smooth round yarn.  While soft, it also has a nice springy to it that is a joy to knit.  Royal Merino is offered in a worsted weight.  It's approximately 200 yards per 3.5 ounce skein.  Bulky will be offered from time to time when available.  Our bulky merino is a 3ply yarn, 150 yards/4 ounce skein.

Eternel Merino:  A two ply heavy worsted super fine merino is wool from a small farm in the USA.  It has a cottony soft feel to it and knits into wonderfully soft garments.  It also has a tendency to have a thick and thin quality to it.  Eternel Merino is approximately 200 yards/4 ozs 

Aigrette Fine Merino:  This two ply heavy worsted fine merino is wool from a small farm in the USA and is a very soft merino with clearly defined plies.  Fine Merino is also a nice durable yarn with minimal pilling.  Aigrette Fine Merino is 200 yards/4oz

Indulgence Wool/Alpaca: This is an unbelievably soft and luxurious wool/alpaca blend yarn.  65% soft merino wool blended with 35% baby alpaca.  A super soft yarn that not only takes up dye in a subtle yet beautiful manner,  it is also a dream to work with whether you are knitting or crocheting.  This wool comes in an Aran weight and is approximately 205 yards per 4 ounce skein.

Gaia Organic Merino: This is a 100% merino yarn; the sheep are organically raised and the wool is organically processed.  Currently we are offering this yarn in a light bulky weight, approximately 152 yards/4 oz skein.  This neatly plied round yarn is a pleasure to knit.  It's softness and thickness make wonderfully warm garments.

Soyeux Blue Faced Leicester:  Soyeux BFL is an aran weight BFL.  It differs slightly from our Champion BFL in that it is from BFL sheep who are bred in the UK.  This yarn has a silky sheen to it like no other BFL we've ever experienced.  Although it is classified as an aran weight yarn, I believe it is a light aran weight/ heavy worsted weight yarn.  Yardage for this yarn is approxiamtely 210 yards per 4 ounce skein.

Montana Targhee:  A soft plush yarn, this 2 ply worsted weight yarn has wonderful stitch definition, minimal pilling and a soft cotton like feel to it.  It is a lanolin rich yarn which makes it wonderful for cloth diapering knits.  Targhee is 230 yards/4 oz skein

Rayonnant Organic Merino:  This 3 ply Merino-Merino Cross organic yarn is super soft to the touch.  If you enjoy working with a yarn that is super soft and Organic this is the yarn for you.  It takes dye vibrantly.  It is neatly plied and has a smooth round finish.  This yarn is a Canadian Organic Merino.  Rayonnant Organic Merino is approximately 248 yards/ 4 ounce skein.

Uruguayan Merino:  We offer this yarn in a single ply and 3 ply wonderfully soft merino.  Both yarn types are 218 yards/3.5 oz skein.
